Monsters

Lonley-In-The-Moonlight

Tumbling down, wells of desperate fear
Walls built to protect from monsters within
I crumble at the onslaught of core need
For touch and validation of existence
Dammit, stop please I am drowning
Each breath ragged, drawn across pain
Moonlight brightens corners better left dark
Fiends slather, licking lips of crimson
Colored by past spilled blood
Topaz eyes stare down into mine
Glitter with possession
Mine as you stroke my side
Mine, you demand my agreement
I love you, said staring down at me
Retreat immediate, without fanfare
My surrender snatched back
Possession and passion connected
Desperate for safety, please no more
Walk away, run, let me go
No, mine you say again as you look down
This time wiping tears from my face
Soothing fears and chasing brutes back to darkness

About Scarlett Baker

Writer, artist and thrill seeker. Scarlett is a mystery, even to herself at times. Her exploration of love stories with a touch of the dark began when she found herself single and dangling by a thread of hope mixed with a splash of the terrible. Faced with being alone for the first time in nearly twenty years, with not a clue what to do with a vast future she decided to explore the world of her fantasies, something she had done little of up until now.

  1. In the darkness of sweetness love past there is a new and welcomed beginning, a taste of delicious fruits yet to be touched upon, explored to the very edges of desire, and caressed into submission.

I like your new website Scarlett, it is an honour to be invited and I will be calling in on you again soon, savouring your inner fantasies and enjoying the magnificence of your writing prowess, for you are a beautiful lady, poetess extraordinaire with a wickedness of delights yet to be realised. The journey will be a satisfying one I am absolutely sure of that…

Have a scrumptious rest of Tuesday my dear friend…
